Helena has been an active and valued member of the Institute for several years, successfully chairing the High Net Worth & Specie Special Interest Group in bringing interesting and engaging educational outputs to the CILA membership.

Helena also supports the work of the Women in CILA group and champions loss adjusting as a fantastic career and a profession to be proud of.

Helena’s journey in loss adjusting began in 1991 at Brocklehursts in Brighton. Several years later and after a career break to raise a family, Helena went on to qualify as a Chartered Loss Adjuster in 2014, before moving into the High Net Worth and Major Loss arena, where she began to take on more senior operational and management roles whilst always running her own bespoke portfolio of claims. Helena has developed a particular expertise in High Net Worth Real Estate and established a reputation for her delicate handling of cases, particularly those involving vulnerable customers, VIPs, or claims with particularly complex issues. Helena is now Head of Specialist Services at Criterion Adjusters.

In her year of office Helena will be supported by Deputy President, Marc Sweeney who is Director of Training & Quality Assurance at Thornton Group, a Davies company.
