 Responsibilities:

 This position is based at our headquarters and will require travel (both domestically and internationally) for BD, fieldwork and management activities.

The candidate will be responsible for delivering loss adjusting services to clients at a consistently high level, and will help to develop and execute an agreed strategy.

The successful applicant will have responsibility for the following activities:

  • Hands on loss adjusting for construction, product and injury liability complex claims.
  • Developing its own team of adjusters.
  • Liaising with Advanta’s international offices.
  • Overseeing the implementation of long-term strategic plans.
  • Identifying new opportunities in order to achieve business objectives.
  • Following up on leads from existing clients and developing client relationships.
  • Implementing and developing Advanta best practice.
  • Reviewing office performance on an ongoing basis and addressing resourcing or performance issues where necessary.
  • Arranging marketing trips and meetings with Insurers, Brokers and Claims Settling Agents.

 Skills / Experience / Requirements:

 Applicants must be authorised to work in the UK without restrictions.

 Ideal applicants will have:

 At least 10 years’ liability loss adjusting experience

  • Main areas of expertise: Construction liability, Personal injury, Employers liability, Product liability and General liability.
  • Familiarity with the London and global insurance and reinsurance markets.
  • Experience of leading meetings and discussing claims with senior personnel.
  • Excellent organisational skills and attention to detail.
  • Dynamic and flexible to meet deadlines and client needs.
  • Commercial background: existing clients contacts, able to develop the team further, meet clients, attend events.
  • Loss Adjusting qualifications (CILA, ACII).
