We have 10 membership types. If you are new to the Institute start with an entry level membership, Ordinary or Student.
Join as a student member if you want to achieve CILA qualifications but do not work within a loss adjusting practice, firm or company. Please note that Student members are required to attempt a CILA examination within two years of joining the Institute.
The subscription year runs from 1st January to the 31st December.
You may join the Institute at any time during the year, but please note your next annual subscription will be due on 1st January the following year.
Other types of CILA membership include Certificate, Diploma, Advanced Diploma, Chartered, Certified and Fellow. These become available to members as they progress through CILA qualifications and acquire relevant working experience. Members may also obtain Retired membership or be awarded with Honorary membership.

Obtaining the ACILA qualification has given me confidence that I am an expert in my field and has opened many doors for career progression. The process of studying for the ACILA qualification has proved invaluable in allowing me to develop a level of technical expertise that assists me in carrying out my job more effectively.
