NASP 2010 Grapevine, TX

LWG Consulting UK is proud to announce that Mamoon Alyah, Executive Director in the London office, is scheduled to co-present at the upcoming NASP (National Association of Subrogation Professionals) Conference in Grapevine, Texas.

The presentation, titled: Subrogation of Equipment Losses in Industrial and Commercial Properties will focus on recovery potential in insurance claims that involve failure of equipment in industrial and commercial applications. During the presentation, Mr. Alyah will explain the possible causes of failure and describe the process to investigate and identify recovery potential. Mr. Alyah will detail the scientific method to formulate expert opinions and will discuss issues related to performing inspections, establishing testing protocols, maintaining chain of custody, preservation of physical evidence in addition to other issues.

Mr. Alyah will be joined by, Ms. Melissa Sullivan, a leading US subrogation attorney with Robinson & Cole law firm, who will highlight legal issues common to these types of claims, such as the malfunction theory, contractual limitations of damages, and the economic loss doctrine. Throughout the presentation, examples of real-life losses will be used to highlight main points and emphasize important issues. This would include the use of pictures, drawings, layouts and scenarios that involve this type of product failure subrogation.
