Introduction to the Liability SIG from the Chairman:

Welcome to the Liability Specialist Interest Group section. Thank you for taking time to visit the site.

We have worked hard since the SIG's inception to provide a meaningful SIG for members. Members will be aware of the annual SIG Conference, in addition to which we organise local seminars.

Our aim is to provide primarily an educational forum for all members, students, through to experienced practitioners, and to make our website the first point of call for members wishing to find out more about educational, technical and membership issues.

We are delighted to be supported by our sponsors MDD and Hawkins Forensic Engineers and we have endeavoured to develop these links to members' benefit.

CILA has firmly established e-communication as the way forward and together with your help, populated our website with meaningful articles.

Any member can, through the Committee, submit topical articles for inclusion on the Liability SIG website. Please contact us with any contributions you consider relevant, be it an educational paper, article, interesting case law, dscussion topics... all would be welcomed.

We held another succesful Conference with relevant topics provoking debate amongst the Delegates. Feedback was positive and we hope to see more Delegates attending the 2011 event.

A 'roadshow' is being planned for roll out in December, to include the regions as we move into 2011 and with Jackson back on the Agenda, also the Trigger litigation to the fore, the Liability claims arena as ever is never dull or boring!
