Installing the e-book reader
This reader works on Windows computers and will allow you to easily access, bookmark and search the e-books of your choice from our library. Once installed, the reader doesn't need Internet access to work.
Please click on one of the buttons below to download the reader file (select Save).
Save this file in any folder then run Install_Reader(.exe) from that folder.
There are two versions of the installer:
- a small version without Microsoft .NET 1.1 framework. It doesn't require administrative rights to run (files copy only).
- a bigger version with Microsoft .NET 1.1 framework. It requires administrative rights to run (.NET 1.1 installation).
To check if you have Microsoft .NET framework 1.1 installed, select the Start menu > Control Panel > (Performance and Maintenance) > Administrative Tools and look for an icon 'Microsoft .NET Framework 1.1 Configuration'.
If you cannot find this icon, download the bigger version of the e-book installer.
Note that Vista has the version 2.0 of the .NET Framework preinstalled but you still need the version 1.1 on your PC. Both versions can coexist on the same machine.
