CILA - The Chartered Institute of Loss Adjusters

CILA Awarded European Funding

The Chartered Institute of Loss Adjusters (CILA) has been awarded funding to develop an education and training programme for the use of loss adjusting experts throughout Europe.

The funding comes from the EU’s Lifelong Learning programme which is designed to build a skilled workforce through European partnerships. The Leonardo Da Vinci programme funds the development of training materials and work placements with the objective of improving the provision of Vocational Education and Training (VET) across Europe.

The project will involve the CILA, as lead partner, working with partners from Denmark, the Netherlands, Germany, Austria, Portugal and Poland. The ifs School of Finance will also join the project as the academic partner to assist in evaluating the programmes and material that are developed.

Malcolm Edwards (President of the CILA) said: “The availability of this funding will enable the CILA to build on its position as The Claims Institute and develop resources for use by loss adjusting experts throughout Europe.”
