CILA - The Chartered Institute of Loss Adjusters

In this section:

Kent & East Sussex Sub Area

The Kent & East Sussex region is a sub area of the London & Home Counties Area. This developed due to a demand for events in the Kent and East Sussex region where most adjusters found it both time consuming and difficult to attend meetings in central London.

As the name suggests the region caters for those adjusters who work and/or live in Kent and East Sussex, based in places such as Maidstone, Brighton, Canterbury etc. Those who work in the Croydon area, but live to the south of Croydon also find it more convenient to attend these meetings.

Currently the area is chaired by Angus Tucker and events are organised jointly by him and Trevor Adams. The usual format is to hold four meetings a year over the winter/spring period. These are held at the Spa Hotel in Tunbridge Wells, with an arrival time of 6.00pm for a 6.30pm start.

Trevor and Angus seek to provide a varied programme with something of interest to all adjusters. Meeting topics cover subjects including property, liability, BI, general interest, regulation and CILA developments. Since its inception the area has continually enjoyed good local support, and all are welcome. Details of events are posted on this website, and Trevor circulates offices in the area a few weeks before each meeting.

Kent & East Sussex sub Area Meetings 2007

As a result of the pressure everyone is under due to the huge increase in workload from the flooding it has been decided to hold back the start of the Kent & East Sussex winter season of talks until January 2008. The decision was taken after consultation with a number of Area members, all of whom advised they would not be able to attend any evening talks before the new year.

Details of the dates and subjects will be posted here on the website in due course.
