We are always proud and excited about the work our members undertake internationally.
On Tuesday 23rd May the CILA Executive Director, Malcolm Hyde, was pleased to hear first-hand from Tony Chapman, a Chartered Loss Adjuster in Singapore, about Contingent Business Interruption losses. Tony was speaking at a CILA Seminar in Singapore which was attended by both CILA members and their guests. Our message went far and wide with attendance from Insurers, Reinsurers, Brokers and of course Loss Adjusters from the region. We were also delighted to see members and guests from Japan and Malaysia.
Malcolm provided an update on the Institute including the launch of our new Diploma qualification, updates to the website, the availability of local training courses by the Singapore Insurance College and ideas on how international members who fly the flag for the CILA could continue to be supported.
Malcolm and Tony were joined by our International SIG sponsors, Hawkins, who provided a most informative talk on erosion.
Whilst in Singapore Malcolm also had useful meetings with the Singapore College of Insurance, the Singapore Insurance Institute and Lloyd's Asia
